President-elect Noynoy Aquino announced this afternoon his cabinet members. We know that it’s hard to satisfy everybody. But whoever they are, they have the biggest responsibility to do. Hopefully with them, the change that we ever wish for will come true. With those positions come their responsibility and accountability. It is like that they are now engaged to the people and their contemporary engagement presents are in the form of service. We hope that the betterment of people will be their only agenda to be able to give us the …

Those who ran as President in the last election are now starting to submit their list of campaign expenditures although it’s late submission. The Commission on Election (COMELEC) spokesperson thinks that some expenditure reports submitted by national candidates are “far less than what we saw.” Even voters can’t believe that one of the candidates just spent P431.55 million in spite of his advertisement on TV, radio, prints and even online.

COMELEC Resolution 8944 allows national candidates to spend P10 per registered voter. That’s a total of P510 million. …

Philippines Streets Foods

I wonder why streets foods are really delicious and great to eat. I am a certified street food lover without considering the possible disease from what I eat, with out thinking that my weight loss pills that work might hot have an effect already. I like to eat kwek kwek, one-day-old chick, fish balls, barbeque and other street foods.

There are also kwek kweks sold in some malls where you are sure about the cleanliness. But they are not as delicious as those sold in the free streets. I …

Reflections and Retreat Houses

I remember during my school years I spent in a Catholic school, we used to have our regular retreat sessions. We were staying then for a couple of days in retreat or reflection houses. They were conducted by Augustinians brothers, sisters and priests. We were given some tasks each day to reflect on what things we have done in the past and were given a chance to evaluate them to make a change for the better in the future.

This is where we believe that we were become nearer to …
