Last April 5, 2009, the Philippines rolled out an attempt to break the world record by unveiling the largest photo mosaic of 180 x 160 foot of the President Gloria M. Arroyo at the Quirino Grandstand in Roxas Blvd.
There were 1000 photographs of the president taken by award-winning photojournalist and mosaic artist Revoli Cortez and it was printed on tarpaulin. The mosaic also features a birthday greeting for the President for her 62nd birthday that day.

The Filipino king of rap Francis M passed away just this 12:45pm today, March 6, 2009 at the Medical City in Ortigas. Francis M or “Kiko” was diagnosed with leukemia last August, 2008. He was about to go for another chemotheraphy and was waiting for his bone marrow transplant when he died.
