Possible Way to Rescue Relatives

27 September 2009 6 views No Comment

For a distance usually taking us 30-45 minutes, yesterday it took us more than five hours to find ways to really get in my sister in-law’s house in Cainta since their place was one of those really affected by typhoon Ondoy. The easiest way to get there was really un-passable because it was really submerged in almost five feet dead water. So since they really needed food and milk for my two-year old neice, we really had to bring some supplies to them since government relief and rescue did not get in to them.

We sourced for all the possible ways to get there, it took us more than five hours of traffic and not really nice road condition just to get there. We really saw the sad aftermath of the typhoon in some affected areas that we were able to pass by. It was really sad to see people on the road walking with some stall cars and vehicle all over. You could even compare it to some war movies you’ve seen.

We were so glad that my sister in-law’s neighbor accommodated them since their neighbor’s house has a rooftop and the house has a 3rd floor. The water already leveled on their plasma mounts almost four feet high on their bedroom and almost three feet high on their living room. Some of their appliances submerged as well as their cars and my brother in-law’s motorcycle.

It is really hard to imagine the effect on every lives of people affected by the typhoon.
