Movie Actor Rudy Fernandez passed away in his home in White Plains QC at 6:15 a.m. June 7, 2008 at the age of 55.

Heard it from radio anchors and couple Julius Babao and Tintin Bersola-Babao in their weekends morning radio program over DZMM FM station this morning. The famous Filipino actor suffered from periampullary cancer.

Julius and Tintin interviewed Senator and actors Jinggoy and Bong Revilla who are both close friends of Rudy. Both stayed at Rudy’s house since last night. Rudy was brought home almost 5 days ago from Cardinal Santos Hospital in San Juan where he was confined for almost a month. In an interview with Senator Bong, Rudy had a seizure last night and his blood pressure dropped to 60/40. This was the reason why they were called to visit their friend.

Despite Rudy’s suffering, he could still talk albeit garbled and friends saw that Rudy was still fighting up to the last minute.

Rudy’s remains were brought this morning to the Heritage Park in Taguig City. According to Bong, Rudy requested to be cremated.
